Gallows Bracket Installation

This is necessary when a chimney breast has to be removed and the section in the loft has to be supported. It needs to comply with local authority building regulations although different local authorities have different requirements

Gallows Brackets are placed on both sides of the chimney breast in the loft and a reinforced concrete lintel or large metal plate  placed across the two gallows brackets. Dry packing is then inserted between the lintel and the brickwork overhead to form a strong support.

Gallows brackets installation is undertaken by the London Builder to comply with building regulations and to ensure that you get the best possible service.
